4 Simple Steps To save time

You happened to arrive at the office, overwhelmed with work, not knowing where to start? Make sure that at the end of your day, very important tasks have been neglected or have not even advanced the day? Do not worry - Here are some simple solutions to help your day at the office.

1. Make A List
A daily planning is essential to properly manage your time. Writing a "list of things to" avoid distractions that interrupt your work. With an appropriate list, you avoid spending time on inappropriate task and stay focused on the most important of your schedule. You can write your list the night before, or shortly before arriving at the office. Some prefer to write the list "by hand", others are more inclined to use the latest software management tasks. The value added of a "list of things to do in your day job" is one of the techniques of time management essential.

2. Prioritize
A "list of things to do" is inadequate if you do not prioritize your tasks in order of priority. It is important to perform each task without having begun to return and so you get better efficiency. On the list, you must list the most important things to do. You can allocate a period of one hour at the most important thing to your schedule and you are unable to achieve within the time limit, you simply come back later - you'll be more comfortable resume the unfinished task once you've started. You can choose to reorganize your list in order of priority, the day before or when reaching the office. However, it has been proved that prioritize its list yesterday is much more effective and saves time because you can then start the most important task when you arrive at the office.

3. Do not make Multitasking
The multitasking is commonplace today and there are many stresses that cause the multi-tasking. We are often distracted by instant messaging, e-mails and phone calls at work, and often we are eager to perform these tasks simultaneously. What most people do not notice is that it actually decreases productivity. Research has shown that we are more productive when we focus on one thing at a time! Try to limit your loss of productivity, you are setting slots in your schedule, slots reserved for responding to e-mails, phone messages, etc ... It is very important to try to limit the multitasking to avoid compromising your efficiency.

4. Be Realistic
Simple, but realism is the way forward when it comes to time management. Very often, we spend much more time than necessary trying to achieve perfection. Be realistic. Perfection is an ideal. Make the difference between what you can do, and what you can do. Understanding this is probably the best thing to do to reduce unnecessary overtime you could devote to a project.
